All Hornsby Baptist Church children’s programs aim to share God’s word with children within our church and beyond, in a fun atmosphere, through music, games, craft, small group time and bible stories. We have Sunday morning children’s programs for all age groups during the Sunday morning service during school terms from 9:30 – 10:45am: Ask a Door Steward for details. - The crying room in the main auditorium is for babies up to walking. It has viewing access into the auditorium and speakers that allow parents to hear the service and sermon.
- Mini explorers is for children up to 2½ years and meet in the sandpit room.
- Pre-schoolers is for those from 2½ up to school age.
- On the Way meets in Revelation Inn and is for those in kindy – year 2.
- Oasis is for year 3 – year 6 students and meets in the playgroup room.
- Y@C Attack (Youth @ church) is for high schoolers. They leave during the sermon for a short, age-appropriate bible study in the red carpet office.
Oasis: The curriculum used is the Oasis programs produced by Logosdor. Logosdor describe the Oasis program on their website as: “Oasis is a Bible discovery curriculum for children aged 7-11 years that is contemporary, fun, energy-packed and deliberately designed to help churches to grow their childrens ministry. It uses the latest media, a mosaic educational approach and an easy-to-follow structure that is working in hundreds of churches. Oasis seeks to help children meet, experience and walk daily with Jesus.”
On the Way: “On the Way” is produced by TnT Ministries. It is a biblical, undated, chronological and informative program, which incorporates music, games, craft and bible stories. This curriculum is being used by churches all around the world from America to France, Spain to Korea, and Hong Kong to Australia. |
